Titanium dioxide and other things we leave out
A short list of additives you will not find in BioVegan products, and why.
Draft article. Medical review by a registered dietitian is pending before launch.
Titanium dioxide is a white pigment used to make tablets and capsules look bright. The European Union stopped authorizing it as a food additive in 2022. It does nothing for your health, so we do not use it.
We also skip artificial dyes, gelatin, lanolin, shellac and carmine. Every excipient is listed on the label and in the product page under 'Other ingredients'.
Key points
- Excipients are the non-active ingredients in a supplement.
- Every lot is tested by a third-party lab.
- COAs are searchable by lot number.
