Pectin
Why our gummies use pectin, not gelatin
Gelatin is made from animal skin and bones. Pectin comes from fruit. Here is the difference in your gummy.
Draft article. Medical review by a registered dietitian is pending before launch.
Most gummy vitamins are set with gelatin, a protein boiled from pig or cow skin, bones and connective tissue. Pectin is a fiber found in apples and citrus peel that sets gummies just as well.
Every BioVegan gummy uses pectin and plant-based colors. No gelatin, carmine (crushed insects) or beeswax coatings.
Key points
- Pectin gummies don't melt as easily in warm weather.
- Carmine and shellac are common hidden animal ingredients.
- Read the back, not the front.
