Formula overview
Spermidine is a small, naturally occurring molecule found in every cell. It is present in foods like aged cheese, mushrooms, soy and wheat germ, but you would need to eat a lot of them to reach the amounts studied in trials.
Cell Loom gives you 10 mg per serving as spermidine trihydrochloride, the pure salt form, in a vegetable capsule.
What it does
Supports cellular renewal*
Spermidine is a natural polyamine that supports autophagy, the process by which cells clear and recycle damaged components.
Supports healthy aging*
Spermidine levels in the body decline with age. It is also found in foods such as wheat germ, soy and mushrooms.
How it works
Spermidine supports autophagy, the cell's recycling program that clears damaged proteins and organelles. Autophagy activity declines with age, and diets rich in spermidine have been associated in population studies with healthy aging. Supplemental spermidine has been studied in older adults for tolerability and cognition.*
